[fah-ther]

I know.. fathers day was yesterday, I am a bit late. I really wanted to post this post though so better late than never, right?

My dad... what can I say about Freddy that everybody doesn't already know?
Growing up, my dad and mom were a great team. They both worked full time but dad worked the graveyards so he was always home with us after school. All of the girls LOVED when dad drove the car pool to dance because it was so fun. He would often find out who we all had crushes on and drive by their house on the way home. He would roll down the windows, honk the horn repeatedly and yell out the window, "Heidi or Melissa or Niki has a crush on ...(whoever it was that week)". We would act mad but secretly we loved it.
The kids in the neighborhood would and still do come to the house and ask if Fred can play. He got the nick name Freddy Spaghetti and Jill Coombs called him Frank. Both have stuck to this day.
I love my dad. I remember walking through the malls holding his hand and getting Betty Sue's Buns. Even as a Jr. High kid. And from an early age we started Pancake Saturdays. I would wake up, bat my eyes and he would just know to start the batter. This tradition still lives with the nieces and nephews and here at our house.
Freddy would do anything for anyone. He is the master STARS dad. Still driving trophies and working at all of the competitiveness with my mom. If I need something done in UT, he'll do it on the spot. And if I want a car driven from Phx to UT... he would hop on the next flight! :) haha He really is the best dad anyone could ask for.
Mr. David ~ My sweet father-in-law. On mothers day I wrote that Greg's mom raised the best man in the whole world. Dave did as well. Greg is smart and kind because of his father and loves sports because of Dave. They are best friends. When we visit Utah Greg is happiest spending time with his dad on the golf course, at the gym and out to breakfast. Dave is so knowledgeable. We don't dare make major decisions with out his input. He is also very hard working and kind. He is so easy to talk to and he LOVES his grand kids. I think that Dave is happiest playing with the kids outside or in the basement. He is such a hands on Grandpa and the kids adore him. I love Dave. He has such a great heart and it spilled over onto Greg. Always wanting to help others.
Gregory ~ How lucky am I? Greg truly is the best husband and father. Sorry fellow bloggers, I win on this one! :) As stated above, Greg is so kind. He cares about everyone before himself and loves his family more than most people can imagine. Since Gavin was born and I had the c-section he has been Super Dad and Mr. Mom. He is really protective of me and makes me chill out when I want to be up and about. The doctors said 6 weeks of relaxing and he is sticking to that. He has kept the house clean, Alexa fed, laundry done and dinners made. The funny thing is, this isn't out of the ordinary for him. He has been like this since we have been married. He is a hard worker and would do anything for his family.
Greg plays basketball 4 days a week. He is is ultra athletic and I love that about him. Today he is going to the doctor after hurting his ankle for the 3rd time in 3 months. When he walked in the door from ball I could see in his eyes how worried he was that he wouldn't be able to work out/play ball. It is very important to him. He is also very smart. Education is really important to him and it is so easy for him. Mostly I love how spiritual he is. He loves the Lord and is dedicated to his callings at church. I love to hear him give talks in church (no, this is not an invitation for our family to speak :)). He can give a talk on anything and you can feel the spirit radiate from him.

There is so much more that I can say about the fathers in my life. I am so lucky to have them all!

Jordan came home from ball this morning and said that he was worried Greg's ankle would keep him from playing ball this week too. Glad to see that they like playing ball so much together. :)
