Albuquerque

This week we have been in Albuquerque visiting my brother Corey & his family. Alexa is having a great time getting to know two of her cousins and her aunt Stacey and uncle Corey.


Corey's kids are so funny, they are both little comedians. They were playing with some friends today and one of the friends said a bad word. Later that day Jayden repeated the bad word and was obviously put into time out. When we were on our way to dinner Stacey was telling Corey about the event and she said that she wasn't going to repeat what Jayden had said. Bailey shouted at the top of her lungs, "he said Bull Sh*!". It was so funny. We shouldn't have laughed but we couldn't resist. I had tears rolling down my face. Luckily we were just in the car and not in public.

Tonight we went to Peter Piper Pizza and the kids had a great time playing the games. Alexa loved playing hoops with her dad and riding on the horsie. We didn't eat dinner there because there was a 50 min wait for food so we ate at a yummy restaurant called Zios. Alexa had her first grilled cheese sandwich.

Alexa met a new friend, Kaylie! She is my friend Leslie's daughter and (as shown in the picture) my friend Valerie's granddaughter. When I was 8 years old I was staying at Valerie & Leslie's house and I got the chicken pox at their house. They took care of me and we have been great friends ever since. Kaylie is a month older than Alexa and they were very cute together. We went to lunch at Fudruckers and that Kaylie is an awesome eater. I dared give Alexa grilled cheese because that is what Kaylie had at Fudruckers. She also ate pretty big chunks of chicken. I was very impressed. She was having lemonaid out of a straw... Alexa wanted to play with the straw. She didn't want anything to do with drinking from it!
