Our darling new niece/cousin BENTLEY was born on Tuesday. She had a few minor complications so we weren't able to see her until last night. She was still in the nursery but Greg, Eric & I were snuck in when we made it to the hospital at 8:45 pm. She is BEAUTIFUL. I have pictures of her but don't want to post them w/out permission... I'm sure you'll see her soon! She has jet black hair and a lot of it. Really, adorable.
I was able to hold her. I was nervous about this. Gavin is only 1 but I was sure I would get "newborn" baby hungry. I didn't. I really wanted to hold her but then I REALLY wanted to go home and snuggle my own two babies. It made me sad that they weren't so little anymore.
Here is an update on the monkeys. I post about them so often that there isn't much to say but here are a few details.
Alexa
She is a goof . Really, so funny. She is still into the "baby in her shirt" phase and wants to put on her white dress daily to marry Troy (you know, from High School Musical).
She has started to have imaginary friends. Who are they? For a week or so they were "The Wiggles" now they are, Troy, Gabriella, Chad & Sharpay (again from High School Musical). Can you all say Obsessed. They go everywhere with her/us. Troy always gets to sit in the front seat by me, Gabriella between the two kids and Chad and Sharpay get stuck in the back of the car.
She is really growing up a lot and is getting very silly. I also think she has grown 2 shoe sizes in the last 2 months. She needs several new pairs.
She starts Pre-School in 4 weeks. CRAZY! I love my girl, she is a really good kid.
Gavin
Still Mr. Adorable. What can I say, those blue eyes let him get away with a lot.
He has also matured a lot this past little bit. He suddenly started saying several words (although I think only I can understand him). He can say, cat, dog, hi, ball, mom (mostly when he cries though), dad of course, "tweet", "moo", s'that? (what's that), or just "that" when he wants something.... what else.. not sure.
He suddenly started signing more. I didn't really do the videos with him like I did Alexa I started them at about his birthday. He has known "all done" for quite some time and now does; bird, dog, cat, more, eat, frog, fish, drink (sort-of), banana, (attempts mom & dad), and he tries others.
In mid June he started to try to walk and now is great at walking between people and things. He will go between us easily and could go off on his own but is still nervous. He'll be going freely soon. Someone asked me if I had a video of him "scooting". I don't but will get one tomorrow before he is done with that!
He is darling and such a snuggler. I adore him!

How fun...I love that your kids are growing up and are so dang cute--looks and personalities. Can't wait to see you guys!!
So Nik...since our other friend bailed on the photography stuff, I think you should start taking pics. I need an on-hand photographer since I haven't had a professional picture taken of just the girls since they were 7-months. All of your pictures look so cute. Let me know if you start up a business:)
Such cuties! You definitely need to post of video of Gav scooting--it is hilarious-and something you definitely don't want to forget! I can't believe Lex is starting preschool!! WOW! I agree with Tara about the pics- you are amazing. I would love for you to do some family pics for me if you have some time! Love you!
wow I was just telling my mom yesterday that I thought bentley would be the cutest name for a boy!
