Saturday night I was so proud. We were all showered, our Sunday clothes ironed and most of us (not me) were in bed at a decent hour so that we could just get up, get dressed and get out the door for our early church meetings. As I was walking back to go to bed I hear what sounded like a dog barking in Alexa's room. Then I heard her wailing and crying. Poor kid had croup. It was bad enough that we needed to take her to urgent care. So at 12:30 am I packed her up and headed out the door.
She got her breathing treatments and then steroids. We were out of there at 2:25 and home by 2:45am.
She is doing MUCH better now but that was a crazy night. And... we didn't make it to church on Sunday morning. She was sick and poor Gav woke up a bit sick too. Greg let me sleep in! :)

Oh...the croup is so scary! Logan has gotten it every year since he was one year old and it FREAKS me out every time! I'm sorry! I hope she's feeling better. The older he gets, the less severe it seems, so you have to look forward to at least.
My Sam used to get Croup several times a winter until he was 3. He never had a treatment at the doctors office, but they would send him home with Dexamethasone. We learned quickly that as he was coming off the drugs there were some personality changes to follow. He got really mean for a day or two. Beware! I am glad that she is doing better.
Poor girl!! Hope she is feeling better!! And hope Gav doesn't get it either!
Poor Alexa! Hope she is better now!
