I admit, I have been terrible so here is somewhat of an update.
Pregnancy!
All is well with the pregnancy. I have 10 more weeks until D Day. I think that I am going to schedule the C-Section for May 28th. Yahoo. I'll know for sure after the first week in April.
As for my size. I am a blimp.. already! We were out to dinner on Monday and these 2 grandmas said, "Are you due any day"?
Niki: Nope! I still have 2 months left.
Grandma's: "OH! (In complete shock). You must be having twins then, right?"
Niki: Nope! Just huge... Sob Sob.. :)
I also took my glucose screening test. I FAILED. This means that I have to take a 3 hour glucose/gestational diabetes test and they'll take my blood 4 times in 3 hours to ensure that I don't have gestational diabetes. I'll do it next week sometime.
Greg's Health
Greg is still a mystery. He still has random and strange symptoms of something but no one has a clue what could be the problem. He went in for some spinal X-rays about 3 weeks ago. He just got the results this week and found out that they X-ray'ed the wrong section of his spine. Morons. This is how I feel about all of his doctors at this point. No one seems to care at all about his situation enough to figure him out and it is so irritating. He has to try to self diagnose and ask for specific tests just to help himself. They just take his calls and say, "uhm okay, sure I can refer you to someone else to get that test done."
Church Callings
I am still the Temple Prep teacher. As much as I was shocked that they would call me to this, it is going okay. Greg is actually my partner but because of his other calling they told me that I had to carry the weight.
Greg has turned into an awesome Cub Scout Committee Chair Person. He has put together some fantastic meetings and the boys are really loving it. Last week was the Blue & Gold Banquet. They had a pie eating contest and they all participated. It was so gross. But they thought that it was fantastic! He has really turned the Cub Scout program around in our ward.
Alexa
Miss Alexa is still growing and learning so much every day. She really loves "the Wiggles" and ever since Disneyland she can't stop talking about how much fun she had. She wants to see the photo slide show of our trip daily.
She is 22 months old now and still loves to learn. She knows the alphabet really well and can identify most of the letters. I would say at least 18 of them. She also knows the sounds that most of them make as well.
It is funny to see her watching me as I try to teach her something. She really concentrates like she is trying very hard to retain the information. Hopefully she continues her love for learning forever.
She is also now into pretend play. She is always talking to her animals and dolls. She feeds them, sings songs to them, asks them questions etc.
One of my favorite things that she says/does is thinking... For example: tonight on the way home from dinner she was deciding what songs she wanted me to sing to her. She would say.. "how about (pause, click her tongue) hmmm Twinkle! No No No, Heavenly Father. Yeah, Heavenly Father". It is so cute. You can tell that she is going through all of the songs in her head and deciding which one she wants to hear.
Here are some pix from our play date today. We were supposed to go to music class but the teacher called while we were on our way and said that she had to cancel. Instead we went to Brit's house and the girls and Kenyon played for hours. Alexa loved Mayas guitar and sat on the couch strumming the strings singing Twinkle over and over. It was great. She and Maya are over a year apart in age so I feel bad for Maya because Alexa is just now learning to play WITH other kids. I think that Maya gets a little bugged that Alexa isn't more interactive with her so today was great for Alexa to learn from Maya. She really does think that Maya is so cool. She wants to do whatever she does. Luckily Maya is a great example of a "good girl".
